More about this item

R. C. Barnum and others, Cleveland, Ohio, 1920. Hardcover. Book Condition: Poor.  Presumed first edition. Own an original! Incredible insight on WWI with comments by Foch, Lloyd George, Woodrow Wilson, John J. Pershing, etc.The book is black pebbled cloth covers that have been reinforced with tape at some point in time so there is glue residue on the edges of the spine from the tape,I did not try to remove. There is a split in the cloth on the spine of the book as shown in photos. The book is still held together but needs to be handled carefully. Very informative and full of nearly 500 photographs and illustrations of war and individuals affected plus maps, charts, colored plates and diagrams. Canada's involvement in war is discussed. Autographed by war hero Bishop, known as "the World's Ace of Aces." There is a "Roll of Honor" inside, a "soldier's and sailor's service scroll for facts, figures and faces." Charles E. Ruso filled it out. He was a cook in the infantry and enlisted in Albany, NY in 1916, served in Germany with the 51 Pioneer Company D and was discharged in 1919.  392-pages.
